The European Council was founded in 1974 and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Paul Schmidt  spoke to the former Austrian Federal Chancellor Dr. Wolfgang Schüssel (2000 – 2007) about his experiences in the EU presidency and his insights and analyses of the European Council.

Wolfgang Schüssel experienced two Austrian EU Council Presidencies (1998 as Foreign Minister and 2006 as Federal Chancellor).
